Are there any side effects to applying opti coat if the temps are around 100-105 degrees? I have a car I'm doing Monday and its supposed to be around 100*

Did my truck last week in the garage, it was at least that hot. It seemed to flash pretty quick but the application went well otherwise.

at that temp the solvent will likely flash before it can be spread and leveled...so I would not try it.

It may be the humidity in WI summer, but I tried applying OC2.0 in 95ish deg. weather this past weekend with a lil hesitation from it flashing a bit fast.I completed the application (13' Toyota Tacoma TRO) but I would not attempt it at any higher temp.
As Chris mentioned above,it will flash fast at them temps.

What temperature is best? I'm afraid around 90 is as good as I'm going to get and that will be waiting for a couple hours after the sun goes down. Has this product ever been marketed under a different name that you know of??

Sorry to revive this thread, but im looking to apply O.C 2.0 to my 13 WRX tomorrow and temps are supposed to break into the lower 50's tomorrow. I will be applying in my non-heated garage. What is the lowest temperature that O.C can be applied in?

I've applied it many times in the upper 40's in my heated garage. It was -10ºF here in ND today. (Yes, that's negative. Oh, that's without the wind chill too) The 5-day still doesn't have any temps above 28º F! Go for it.

I applied Opti-Coat 2.0 in Novmeber in a non-heated attached gararge with an outside temperature in the 40's. Everything went very well. I also appreciated not having to worry about it flashing too quickly as it was my first time applying Opti-Coat. Good luck!
