After reading many many detailers using this coating it got me veryyyy intrigued. I was skeptical but after reading many of Chris' posts and others post up their reviews I was sold. I had to have it.
When it first arrived, the packaging and the presentation look a little intimidating. (I mean c'mon it comes in a huge syringe) I watched countless videos and writes up on how to apply, what to look for, what not to do etc. I honestly was over thinking it and making it much more complicated than it needed to be. I practiced on my own vehicle and a good friends moms car who was wanting the coating.
Application was very easy. The biggest factor for me was HOW MUCH DO I USE. That was easily taken care of watching the video Chris from Optimum made. (thanks!) After ensuring the surface was surgically clean, I started applying the product to the applicator and spreading it on the first panel. I found you didn't need to use any pressure and just like some of the other tools I use, let the product do the work.
After 5 minutes or so, any high spots were knocked down and the finish was amazing!
My thoughts on the product are that it works as advertised as long as you are following instructions. The protection is like none other and the IMO, I will take "not" having to wax a car so the maintenance and up keep is much easier. This product is one everyone should at least use on their personal vehicles if not everyone's they touch (realistically I know that won't happen, but we can wish!)
I plan on using this until I'm done messing with paint and cleaning vehicles up and protecting them.
Opti-Coat 2.0 has a spot in my arsenal for sure!
Thanks for looking and this is my first official review.
