So I recently coated my car with Opti-Coat Pro. I am aware of the usual maintenance washing and sealing. My concerns are; can CarPro products be used with Opti? I have Tar-X, Iron-x, Eraser, and Reload already in my arsenal. With any of these affect the Opti Pro in a negative way? I live in a condo so I have to battle trees and sprinklers. I have, what I think is, some sap on my car and I'm not sure what I can use to get it off without harming my coating. TIA!

From listening to the Optimum Synergy Podcast, Dann Williams and Yvan Lacroix mention a decon wash with an iron remover once a year. Of course regular washing with a car shampoo and/or rinseless wash. Both mention the synergy of their product using ONR and/or Optimum Car Wash.

There is no need to use a sealant or wax with opti-coat. Both Dann and Yvan have stated this. It will only alter the performance to whatever the topper is. Plus opti coat will shed it off.

If you wish to top it with something or maintain it these are the products I would use

Optimum Car Wash is a concentrated auto shampoo that washes away grime on your car & protects wax.

Optimum No Rinse Wash & Shine: clay lubricant, optimum rinseless wash, no rinse car wash, optimum detailing products

Optimum Instant Detailer & Gloss Enhancer Quick Detail Spray, instant detail spray, spray detailer, waterless wash, opt quick detailer

Optimum Opti-Seal 8 oz. Free Bonus! New & Improved!

Optimum Car Wax is a spray wax made with real carnauba and synthetic paint sealants for protection & shine! high-grade carnauba wax and silicone

Optional if you wish to use a rinseless with wax

Optimum No Rinse Wash & Wax, no rinse car wash, rinse free car wash, optimum no rinse

This is for gloss coat but it also pertains to opti coat

Have you asked the installer?
I am the installer. Any time I've asked Chris about other products with Opti he tells me they haven't tested it.

Thank you I will go through these later on!

So let me ask the obvious question here, just so we're on the same page... you're certified as an Opti-Coat Pro Installer, but you are not aware of the products you can use on it?

FWIW, CarPro products will not harm Opti-Coat based on my experiences.

I'm sure you'll be fine using those "alien" products from the competing company.

The shop I work for is an authorized dealer. We are new to it. I am the one who does the coating and corrections. No I didn't go to OPT's class to get certified. I would love to but it is going to make the company money, not me. So with that said, I am here to learn from what I thought were good detailers so I can still do the best job I can. I just spoke with Chris but appreciate your helpful comment.
