I applied cquartz on my wife's car a month or so ago. I had a bit left over, so last week I applied some to the roof of my truck. Of course, right after that, opti coat shows up as the VIP special, and I can't pass it up. I intend to use it on my truck, but I'm not sure what to do about the roof? I don't suppose the opti coat be applied over the cquartz, can it?

No, I wouldnt do that. You could do a little test spot on a test panel but I am guessing you would find something between no long term bond and worst case a stain or haze.

Opti Coat needs to be applied to bare clean paint free of waxes, oils, and sealants...even nano tech.

That's what I thought. So it seems my options are to do everthing but the roof with opti coat, and then do the roof after the cquartz wears off in a couple of years, or remove the cquartz and do the whole truck with opti coat. Is there an easy way to remove the cquartz?

Maybe this is a good way to test and compare the two products - cquartz on the roof and opti coat everywhere else.

Craig, that will be a good test. I have had both products on my old FX for well over a year now. Both are holding up just fine BTW.
