Opti-coating iPhone

I have a case for my iPhone but sometimes it isn't practical for what I'm doing or I want to remove it. I have the death grip issue when I don't use a cover and it got me thinking... I wonder if OC would provide a thick enough layer to prevent the problem. I may try it this weekend

Has anyone tried this already?

I don't believe it will as it will still likely be thin enough to block it. I got the Vroom case for mine, it works perfectly, I can fit my ID and a Credit card in the back, and it's been dropped 1000's of times without a single problem.

Think it cost me like $10.
