Opti-lens question

Today, I've just applied opti-lens on 3 cars, headlights and tail lights. The question I have is when removing excess, does the microfiber towel get caught? It feels sticky when wiping. I didn't want to wipe too hard or excessive either. Also, just wanted to get a general idea of how many drop you guys use.
