What would be better for headlights? Wolfgang Deep Gloss Sealant 3.0 or Carpro Dlux?

Would 1 application of Opti-lens be better than regular applications of the aforementioned products (say 2-3 times per year)?

Not only will OL last longer, it won't yellow like sealants will.

So the wolfgang stuff will yellow my headlights?

i also have some carpro dlux.

how would that compare to opti-lens?

Opti-Lens has the needed UV protection in the coating that will keep the headlights from yellowing.

Did you sand the lights at all or no?

this is a brand new car.

woud cquartz dlux be adequate protection?

Yes from what I can find you can use Dlux on headlights. Forum member TroyScherer had it on his headlights. I would sent him a message and see how long it lasted from him. It is semi-permanent coating so it wont last as long as opti-lens.

Could you not use opti coat instead of opti lens?

Yes you can use opti-coat as well. If you are sanding and removing the uv coating that come on the headlights then opti-lens is a better option.

DLUX will work but you will want to re-apply it even 6 months - 1 year depending on where you live and the amount of UV exposure you have. Starting a new car out right though will make a huge difference. I applied DLUX to the headlights on my car but it is now 10 years old so I need to reapply it more often to maintain the UV coating that is left. Since I needed to polish them out twice now.

Opti-Lens is formulated with the UV inhibitors to protect lens, as well as being designed to bond to the polycarbonate housing.

Opti-Coat does have some UV built in. But it is designed to bond to and protect paint.

The same goes for Opti-Glass. Made and designed for glass application, protection, durability needs.

does dlux apply clear and smooth. in other words, if I were to apply in on glass could you tell i applied something there?

DLUX does apply clear and smooth. But DON'T apply it to glass. (windshield) That is not what it is designed for.

For glass use Opti-Glass, FlyBy30, Wolfs Glass Guard, Aquapel, Rain-x...
