Im sorry to ask this but the leather looks really dry ,are you sure your not harming the leather?
 
hmm dont think so. it feel soft when i touch it. After i steamed washed the seats i applied Opt's Leather protectant to recondition the leather so i dont think there is a problem with it

Maybe the seats had something on them before that makes the after pic compared to the old look dry .

I think the small size of the pictures may be a factor too!

I did read once you shouldnt steam leather but I dont know if theres any truth to it.
 
erm, i was taught by KC that steam washing leather could open the pores of the leather hence better and more extended cleaning O.o
