Optimum Compound II

So I've been using M105 with the cyclo but I'm looking for something that doesn't dust quite as much. I like using OPT products, so I figured I'd give their Compound II a try. I know the 105 is a more aggressive product, but has anyone had success using the Optimum compound as their "go-to"? I figure even if doesn't really do the absolute best I need it to, I'm sure I can find some sort of use for it...

Optimum polish is my go to polish. I never really liked optimum compound.
Have you tried to mist the pad with a little water ? So as to help with the dusting.
That might take care of your issue you are having with dusting..

I do this with compounds sometimes, it really does help with the dusting, I'm just wondering, does it affect the compound's performance or the finish of the car?
