Has anyone tried the(new formula) Optimum Compound ? Any feedback pro or con would be welcome.:)

awesome. period.

Great cut, great results, NO dusting. Optimum and Pinnacle XMT are in a class of their own when it comes to polishes for the PC.

Thanks for the reply ryandamartini

I have the old formula and it's great, finishes down very nicely even witha cutting pad. Think the new formula is more abbrassive.

The new formula is FANTASTIC! Little to no dusting, which is very important in the detail shop because it also serves as a car showroom. Using 3M compound requires: 1) covering the already detailed cars and 2) completely mopping the epoxy white floor when finished.

Using Optimum, I still cover the cars, but only wet mop the floors as opposed to scrubbing with Fabuloso cleaner.

Using it on a rotary also allows longer working times with less product.

I'm now looking for Gallon size quantities (hint-hint AG)

Here's a pic of the shop / showroom floor and work area. It's very nice but requires constant maintenance (which is part of my detailing pay).

Are you asking about the Optimum Hyper Compound?

I would like to hear how it works for the PC users.

If more pros and body shops start to buy the Optimum Polish and Compounds David would start to package in gallons.
