1-After you apply it to the fender for example, do you wipe the whole fender or do you only wipe the area that did not seem to flash?

2- How long do you wait before you wipe down? one, two, three minutes? more?

3-When you wipe the area after applying do you use a plush microfiber or one with very short nap?

1. If you apply it to the fender, it should only be a few seconds in-between flashing so i'd wipe the whole thing..or give it that extra 5-10 seconds. You can still wipe away after it flashes.

2. Depends on humidity, temperature, how thick you applied, etc.

3. Plush, no lint.

I'd use two MF towels. One to "level" and a second as final wipe.

There is an excellent write up on detailed image that is very helpful.

Let it flash to 50% clear, second coat, let flash to 75%, then just smooth out excess till clear.

Interesting point on #3-When you wipe the area after applying do you use a plush microfiber or one with very short nap?, I had read several times to go short nap and in face I have chosen shirt nap during prior installs what are you guys using towel wise short or plush?

I don't get to hung up on high spots.

I have only applied 3 times, but many times with Opti-Coat 2.0.

Apply to panel at a time.

Let flash 1-2 minutes then very gently wipe down with supplied towel the whole panel.

Take a peak after 5 minutes just to check.

Temperature 60 - 70 F , humidity 60%.

Interstingly I did my back bumper and left a bad high spot once.

Did not correct right away as pressed for time.

Went back 2 days later and could not find it, it had completely levelled.

Any high spots can easily be removed with Poli-Seal on white pad and re-applied.

Very easy product to work with and learning curve is easy.
