The other day due to high heat Tallahassee is having temperatures near 100 almost every day, I took a short cut. I sprayed optimum nr (clay lubricant concentration) onto the car then wiped it off. The resul is I used less fluid. Is this method effective? Will it cause problems?

Using ONR as a quick detailer at clay lube strength is fine, but your using more concentrate, not less.

I am going to take a guess and say you are using ONR as Waterless Wash because you feel regular Waterless Wash costs too much and using ONR as Waterless Wash is much more economical. You don't even feel the ONR is superior to other Waterless Wash products and the only reason you are using it is because of the lower cost, Is my assumption correct? Please correct me if I am wrong.

It won't cause any problems assuming you inspected the end-result and your expectations were met.
