hard to tell by looking but does it thread on a bottle of opti-bond or do you buy a cup seperate? what other kinds of guns have been used and with what success? thanks.

Yes it theads onto the OB bottle.

I was answering from my mobile, so to elaborate: The pickup tube is aluminum and you'd have to cut it to fit a shorter bottle than 32oz. It will accommodate the OEM Optimum 32oz bottles and most all 32oz pump spray bottles with no problems/modifications. I have two detail stations (one on each side of my garage) and each has 3 of these gun on it. I really like them.
