Optimum is rolling out some new products ahead of TRCMA, in the way they rolled them out before SEMA, perhaps to get ahead of the detailing news cycle.
These seem to appear at the Optimum Car Care/Opticoat sites and then later are announced on the Optimum Forum (whoever broke the v.6 news here got it from Facebook, so it's possible they are showing up there first).
In addition to the v.6 ONR, they have also come out with a new low-end pro-only coating that is SiO2-based, rather than SiC-based, it's called Ultra Shine, has a two-year warranty and can be applied to a washed and decon'd car without polishing, and still acheive the warranty (from an Optimum installer).
Then they seem to have a consumer version of Ultra Shine called Hyper Shine, with the same attributes, including filling of light swirls and scratches, along with easy application. Are you guys sitting down? It's $150 for a 15cc syringe, which makes it 50% more expensive than a 20cc syringe of Gloss-Coat, which is $100. They do say the 15cc will easily coat the biggest truck or SUV.
There is a new Interior Ceramic Coating; previously they only had a pro coating for interior leather and vinyl.
There is a new version of the BRS, BRS 2.0, which is a slightly different shape and I think they said some difference to the cuts, but that it's the same foam.
Last thing so far is Optimum Renew Microfiber & Pad Detergent (yawn), although they say it is pH-neutral, which may mean it's based on the chemistry of the decon (car) wash they introduced at SEMA.
Not sure what the timing of these others is/was, but they have added a couple new waffle-pad colors with beveled edges, and a line of branded microfiber towels, I kind of dismissed them when I saw them, as Optimum has been selling towels at their site forever, but these seem fairly priced--no idea how they are.
