I won 2 oz. of the Optimum X product in a drawing on their forum. This stuff is truly a breakthrough compared to conventional products. I am not permitted to discuss certain aspects of the product until it's officially marketed, but I WILL buy it! They tell me they have it on a Masarati that still has tight beads after 3 years and this ain't no garage queen. I've only had it on my Altima for a couple weeks, but it makes washing a breeze. Literally all you have to do is spray it off. I run some shampoo over it anyway, but it seems to not allows contaminants to bond. Bugs take only minor pressure and bird bombs come off with only pressurized water.

Well, after trying out my sample on my own car (and I love it, I might add). I decided to do a customer's. I didn't charge extra because I was just getting my process down and wanted to see what the customer said before I even mentioned the product I had used. Without a word from me she said: "It looke better than it did new, it's a different color." This stuff took the paint from a factory red to an eye popping red much deeper and reflective than before. The car is a 1996 with only 11k miles so it was already in great shape. All I did was wash and apply product X in addition to cleaning and dressing the engine bay, tires and wells.

Enjoy!

Thanks for looking!

I'm LOVE all optimum products and am eagerly awaiting "Optimum X", keep us updated on it! Looks great! It sounds & looks like this is another winner from Optimum!

Wow, a twelve year old car with 11k mile is a rare find. You really brought the best out of the paint and I'm sure a smile to the face of the owner.

Yes, I was most impressed with the way it turned out, too.

The car came out looking great
Details on the $20 foam gun please

unfortunately there is alot of confusion and likely false reports on this product, application, resellers, and pricing. I had hoped to see/understand a little more about the product. Specifically application, removal, and where product fits within their line either professionally or by hobbist. Please tell us what you can !

I'll try and clear up some misinformation.

It's a coating and not a sealant.

It's permanent or maybe better would be semi-permanent.

It can't be removed with alcohol or dish soap nor prepsol. It can though be removed by means of abrasive polish.

It can be topped with waxes, sealants and I have also used a glaze on it.

It needs at least a few hours for crosslinking before topping it with anything.

Price is not yet set but it won't come in anything larger than a 2 ounces. 2 ounces will give the user at least 4 to 6 applications. The cost *might* be around $90.00 for those 2 ounces. It sounds very pricey but again it's not a product for everyone so if the price is too high there are a great number of products out there that should fill anyones needs.

For the professional detailer he or she can charge an extra $200 or $300 for the application of this coating on top of what you have already charged for paint correction. We have done cars for $1,200.00. People so far are very pleased with it and so far nothing negative about it.....we have had a few cars where we had some over application which may cause some hazing or what looks like streaks. We then polished those areas to even it out and re-applied the product.

This happens much less now as we are more familiar now with application.

Washing is much easier with the coating BUT it's the drying that causes a big smile to appear on most peoples faces. If done correctly one can literally blow dry the entire car and leave nothing to be wiped off.

So is this product going to cure world hunger and stop Britney from flashing everyone?? NO (although someone or something needs to stop Britney)!! Is it for everyone? NO. But it will fit in nicely with those people looking for a great base with long term durability.

Hope this helps....oh yeah, I have no idea when i's going to be released....lastly, if you can apply Ultima, CS or OS you can also apply Product X, it's that easy.

Anthony
