For this review, I'm going to share my experience using P21S’s Multi-Surface Finish Restorer to clean up my 335i’s exhaust tips:
From AG’s product page for P21S Multi-Surface Finish Restorer:
Above 2500rpms the exhaust flap opens allowing exhaust gasses to pass through a shorter pipe which maximizes the back pressure effect to provide the best performance. So if you’ve ever wondered why a 335i’s right tip is always just a little bit filthier then the left tip that’s why.
Prior to using MSFR I washed off both tips with regular car soap to remove as much reside as possible. I then squeezed a small amount of MSFR onto a cheap big-box store MF towel I use exclusively for cleaning exhausts tips.
When squeezed out, MSFR resembles toothpaste, has a pale yellow/tan color, and has a very light odor. It’s not a great smell but it’s also a bad one either. Zee Germans don't do tutti fruiti fragrances in zeir products
Using about a dime sized amount I proceed to remove the black sooty residue turning the mf frequently and reapplying MSFR to a fresh clean surface as needed.
Polishing up each tip inside and out took about 15 – 20 minutes and the results are dramatic:
Next I sealed the tips with a layer of BLACKFIRE’s excellent Wet Diamond Metal Acrylic Sealant. Applying BF WDMAS will make future clean ups far easier with only a few passes with a soapy speed master wheel brush required.
Conclusion: I’ve been using MSFR for years on various metal surfaces from exhaust tips to aluminum trim with fantastic results. At $11.99 a for a 3.5oz tube that'll lasts a heck of a long time MSFR a must have product for your car care arsenal. Like most of the products in the P21S line, Multi-Surface Finish Restorer just works.

From AG’s product page for P21S Multi-Surface Finish Restorer:
“As the name suggests, P21S Multi Surface Finish Restorer can be used on alloy and wire wheels, bumpers, grilles, and pipes. Chrome, aluminum, and stainless steel on, under, and inside of the vehicle will look brilliant and reflective. Say goodbye to weathered and dingy metal and paintwork!
No Harsh Odors. Other tube polishes have an ammonia odor. This polish does not have a strong scent, which is a welcoming change compared to other polishes.
Effortless Application. P21S Multi Surface Finish Restorer is easy to use. Simply rub out a small amount and use the application pad or towel to cover the area. Instantly, a brilliant new layer of metal shine that was trapped under layers of cloud is visible. Simply rub and restore!”
This BMW has an exhaust flap in the left muffler that stays closed from idle up to 2500rpms. The flap forces exhaust gasses to pass though a longer resonator pipe to reach the right muffler. This results in a reduction in low frequency noises but also delivers significantly more exhaust residue to the right muffler’s tip:No Harsh Odors. Other tube polishes have an ammonia odor. This polish does not have a strong scent, which is a welcoming change compared to other polishes.
