First off , is it 100% carnauba by volume ? Meaning no other products in it, just pure carnauba wax. I thought pure carnauba wax is hard like a brick in its natural form.
Second how is the durability compared to other Carnaubas?
Thank You so much.

What they mean and anyone that uses that description for their wax is that the wax they use in the 'formula' is 100% Carnauba wax but that doesn't mean the entire product in the jar is 100% Carnauba.

Good question.

:)

Thats what I was kind of thinking . The add is a little misleading but the product has great reviews so i'll try it.

If you want to see relatively pure carnauba at 70%, look to the Dodo samples. They offer it one of them and basically a paperweight. It needs solvents and other ingredients to break down and even spread nuba.

I got a defective jar of this recently and have been wanting to try it out. The problem is, Fuzion and Souveran sit right next to it, so it's tough for me to actually pick up the P21S. I just used Fuzion last Sunday, maybe I'll use P21S over the Fuzion. Or maybe I'll just use Souveran...or maybe I can do half and half. Ahhh!

I've always been interested in this product and was thinking of using it as a topper on top of Zaino Z2. It would be used more like a beauty wax to give the deep carnauba look.

Does anyone have a 50/50 shot of any sealant/any sealant+p21s 100%?
or any carnauba wax?

lol, will it make any difference in looks for white, black, and silver cars?

Here is a 997 Turbo I did that is wearing a coat of P21s 100%:

Lots of flake pop, and leaves a nice crisp finish. I find it so easy to use as well, with durability around 5-6 weeks on average.

I like the 100% better than original version P21S/S100. The original beaded well and looked nice but used alot of other waxes like Montan and Beeswax. I believe this one cut those other 2 waxes out and thus why they call it 100% carnauba.

I LOVE my P21s 100%!

Can't go wrong with it, it's a beautiful wax.

As Killr said, it's not 100% Carnauba by volume, but the only wax that is in it is Carnauba. The rest is solvents and softening oils. Once you apply it to your paint and allow it to haze, all that will be left will be Carnauba.

I've also found the durability to be quite good with 3 coats (I usually do 3 coats a week apart for whichever product I use).

OK....I got a jar of p21s with my UDM a few years ago. I was not familiar with using paste wax and machine removal and I have until recently put WAY to much product on to remove with a machine and bonnet. So I have not been successful with this wax. I called it "To thick and too hard to remove." When in fact ive been putting too much on.

So now that I have been applying paste wax correctly Im willing to give the rest of my p21s another go. Only problem it its sort of crumbled in the jar. I was wondering can i put this in the microwave to liquify it and let it harden again so I can use whats left or does this destroy it?

PLEASE HELP!

I was actually going to ask this in a new thread but thought this was better.

I wanted to see what everyone thinks about DP Max Wax, which I like.

I would put it in a double broiler and heat it that way. Hope all the oils and solvents have not dried out. Have you tried mashing it in the pot to get it to blend together?

I find P21s to be a bit more sterile and bright, while Signature Series II is more suited to darker cars. However, on a properly prepped car you wouldn't see the difference. They are both dead easy to use though when they are applied thinly.

This last part is very interesting . Can you really tell the difference between waxes? I don't mean turtle wax compared to Dodo Supernatural . I'm sure some people can't even tell the difference between those .
The car people , can we really tell the difference between high end waxes ? I know some last longer and some smell different and are easier to apply etc , but as far as looks are concerned , can we really see a difference ?
A double blind study would be very interesting

Dave McLean (Dave KG) did a comparative blind wax test a year and a half ago. The results convinced him that the differences in appearance between the high end waxes are negligible, if nonexistent. Do we see what we want to see? Do we see what we have been told we will see?

Exactly
I still like to test the high end waxes for myself .
My next wax is P21S 100%
I'm not so sure about 200.00 dollar waxes ..

Red Moose glaze followed by P21s 100% is one of the best looks for me to date.

Once you move into the more expensive boutique waxes, you have to be looking for subtle differences in performance and the feel of the wax rather than the looks. Can you find a cheap OTC wax like Megs #16 for $15 that will have the same durability as Crystal Rock for $1100? Yes, but that may not be the point. You have to prioritize what you are looking for in an LSP, as this will make you happy in the long run.

I love waxes, and am always experimenting with new waxes (I can't help myself haha). I find that there are little nuances between waxes that I have come to appreciate, and for me this is almost worth the price but it also means that I have a lot of products that I never really get to use. It is all about what you are looking for out of a wax, because for me it is all about the experience I get in using them.

I agree with you . If I could afford to spend a grand on a wax I probably would try it . Right now 200.00 is probably the most I'll spend . Everyone says , and I agree , the gloss comes from polishing .
Tomorrow I'll order some P21S 100% and take it from there .
