P21S/S100 Drying Cloth-Don't Waste Your Money!

I bought the S100 version of the P21S Synthetic Drying towel recently. I wanted something that was in a compact container for keeping in the glove box for those times when I decided to get my car washed on a "spur of the moment."

This towel does not perform at all as stated by the manufacturer. I used it as directed (moist, using sheeting method). The towel stuck to the car like a magnet, making it almost impossible to drag across a flat surface. It hardly removed any water.

My advice, use your money to buy quality microfiber towels instead. I will use the Drying towel now for drying door jambs and wheels if it can even manage doing that. I put a microfiber cloth in its cannister pouch instead.

What an expensive pouch this has cost me!

I tried it 3 times. I washed it before I used it as directed by the manufacturer. It was very disappointing.

Back in the day I preferred the P21S towel over the Absorber ... but we all learn from our mistakes and moved to MF WW Towels. I never had any issues but found three things for best use.

1. Presoak new P21S towel in bucket for several hours before first use, they seem to add some soap to it as kinda foamy.

2. If you wash it, pull it out damp and never let it hit the dryer. If it dried together then pulling it apart tears the material or seems to pull the top layer of towel off. (these are meant to be kept damp)

3. Understand it has a grip unlike most towels, you need to take short wipes and never use to much pressure or will grab paint and stick. I would also not suggest using any detail spray with it.

If you lay the cloth flat on the car's surface and try to drag it, it's going to be awful difficult to move. However if you bunch it up a bit in the center or crumple it slightly (basically anything but laying it flat), it will glide right across and absorbs plenty of water. It'll also blot-dry fine.

I've got one and it works just fine.
