pad and backing plate size?

I am in need of some new pads after my hydrorechs shredded. I have a PC with a 2 7/8" and 4 7/8" backing plates. I have some 5.5" lc flat pads. But what pads will fit the small backing plate? 4" 3". Will the 5" and 3" megs MF pads work with the plates I have or will I need new ones? Will the lc 4" pads work?

Any pads larger in diameter than your BP works for me. For a 2 7/8" BP i would go 3"-4". The other BP should be 5, 5 1/2, 6 and maybe 6 1/2 although i like to keep my pads only slightly larger than my BP's.
