Pad and polish recommendation for bmw water marks

Bathe your car in something like CarPro Descale to remove minerals and then polish with 3D One and UroFiber 50/50 pads on speed 5. I’ve had great success on hard paints with that combination.

Blue BMW paint here and completely agree. Address the waterspots with chemicals first. I've polished and coated waterspots for not chemically solving first.

After coating, I've had good luck with the Kamikaze waterspot remover meant for use with coated vehicles.

Thanks guys.

water spots look to be etched in so correction will be necessary. Will give that a whirl and let u know. Will need some protection and was going to get some ethos resist or ceramic wax for ease of use. Any recon’s recommendations? Thanks.

When I owned my Black Sapphire Metallic 4-Series I used Rupes yellow pads and Lake Country White (medium) polishing pads paired with Blackfire's Compound, Griots BOSS Correcting Creme, or the BOSS Perfecting Creme and was able to get out everything from water spots to some pretty nasty swirls when I first brought it home.

There are so many options. I don't know what you have but you can find coatings up to 5+ years if that's your jam now.

I was able to get 6-12 months easily using sealants as a base and waxes on top. That also allowed me to play around with different waxes. I love wax for the versatility and that you can easily reset and replace if needed.

If you want to set it and forget it (beyond regular maintenance washing), probably a coating is what you want.

The last time I had to grind water spots off a car, I used Optimum Hyper Polish on a green B&S foam pad.

Today it would be a blue HDO CCS s those have replaced all my green pads.
