Pad confusion best all around pads for 3401 Flex use

Currently the Orange Hybrid pad is the most aggressive foam pad made by LC. The Blue LIGHT cutting pad is just a bit less aggressive than the standard yellow cutting pad from the CCS line. Below is a chart that lines up the pads and how they stack.

Here is another chart just for the LC pads. Take note of Todd's response in block #2.

I would start off with the white Hybrid pad for AIO work. If that doesn't work then step up to the blue Hybrid pad.

Yes those two plates are different sizes.

They both are listed at the bottom of the FLEX Power tool link on AG.

Thanks for the links! I have book marked them as great reference points. Still torn on the decision. I've added an arsenal of 5" hybrid pads and the 4" LC adapter plate to the mix but am going to think on it all and determine if I'm going to make the switch to the smaller backing plate and hybrid pads now or leave my standard backing plate and finish out using my 6" Standard pads first and replace them as I go.

Why wouldn't you keep both systems? Bigger pads for roofs and hoods; smaller for elsewhere. The backing plates switch out pretty easily (and quickly).

Ok, I just noticed you have a different type of bigger pad. Still, you could use both and gradually switch to 6.5 hybrids.
