I am planning to buy my d/a buffer and am a bit confused with the various pads that are available.
I see that Lake Country offers flat pads, smart pads and kompressor pads.
What would be the best pads to use on a Cadilac escalade and a Porsche 911.
Are the different pads used for polishing different parts of the car? Such as using a flat pad on a flat surface and the kompressor pad on a curved surface. And would one of those pad types be more appropriate for use with a pc7424 than a flex3401?

Thanks for any info you can share with a nube

Well it depends on what da you are buying .You should stick to a pad that is 5.5 like the Lake county pads. The Kompressor pads are awesome with a rotary just feel they are to big for a DA.Color pad goes with what your trying to correct .Orange heavy swirls working your way down to white/black/blue/red.You use the same pad all over the car .If you use a flex you can step up to a larger pad but colors are still the same. You always do a test panel and start with the less aggressive pad and see how that panel looks .Also what product are you going to use ?? 105/205 is a great combo
