Pad recommendations for Menzerna heavy cut compound. (FG400)

After a lot of searching I've finally decided to try some fg400.
I'd like to be able to polish moderate scratches but wondered if you could recommend a pad to compliment this compound.
If there's anything that minimises dusting I'd be very interested.
I see a few use microfiber pads but never tried them before so unsure.

Any tips hugely appreciated as always.
 
It really depends on the condition of your paint. If your paint is in bad shape you need to go with a heavy- medium cutting pad or a microfiber pad. Then follow it up with something like Menzerna 3500. If your vehicle has just light scratches. You can get great results from 400. But you might be better off with something not as strong as 400. More information about your paint condition would be helpful.
 
My favorites are the Lake Country Cyan Hydrotech (foam), and Lake Country Microfiber Cutting pads.

The Lake Country SDO, and HDO blue would also be great with FG400.
 
HDO blue for correction then HDO or Hybrid for final polish is what I use. The pad that "DOES IT ALL" for me is the LC Orange.
 
i've used the fg400, good stuff. ( I think it's rebranded now?). Anyhow, I used an orange CCS pad with great success. I suppose you could go to yellow if you needed more help.
 
The LC purple foamed wool pad is freaking amazing with FG400.
 
Megs MF Cut Disc worked well for me as a fairly aggressive combo.
 
I used fg400 on my first polishing experience. I used it with Sonax Red DA Hard Cutting pad. It was on a heavy oxidized single stage paint. I was expecting dusting since it was alot of old paint to remove. But as long as I did not overworked the fg400 it was very little dusting. And blow it clean with air compressor after each section and reapply and move on. Sonax also have a wool pad that works great on DA polishers too. Not much talk about this pads but they are solid performers.

Keep your speed down with FG400 for the best experience. Running over speed 4 will likely cause dusting, it performs best in the 3 to 4 range.
