I don't have a ton of pads like most of you, I only detail my personal vehicles and some others for friends and family. However I am approaching 30-35 pads and was looking for some ideas for stroage.

One of these 3 drawer containers holds 24 pads.

And here is a container I use for a lot of my towels. Not as orderly but will hold a ton of pads and seals completely.

Wow!
30 to 35 seems like a "ton" of pads to me. I have about 20 and that seems like a lot.
It is actually more than I really need, but hey, it's for the cars. :)

I store mine in Zip-Lock bags, not sealed. and in a plastic 2 drawer cabinet.

My wife had been using a scrapbooking paper organizer (cube system) that she no longer wanted so I used it for storing pads, even has a dust cover. They can be expanded also.

Do you have a picture and a price? This sounds interesting

I use some of my more nasty ones as coasters when watching Sunday football. They really do a great job sopping up the spills. LOL

As far as the good pads go I store them in partially opened zip lock bags. In the colder climates I would not recommend you keeping them in an unheated garage as any trapped moisture that might exist in the foam would expand and contract as temperatures go above and below freezing. This expansion/contraction effect could in my opinion cause structural damage to the foam thus resulting in FPF (foam pad failure). Such a thing could be devastating if it occurs while in the act of polishing.

I ran out of room in the detailing cabinet long ago. I started velcroing the pads to the underside of the shelves and on the interior sidewalls to free up space. Works on the underside of shelving or wherever your imagination takes you.

Do an Amazon search for "Paper Storage Cube System - 3 cubes with 6 shelves each they are $60 but I was recycling the one my wife had so it was already paid for.

i would not store any of my pads or products in a unclimate control area like garages or sheds. Keep all ur supplies in the house it's much better for them.:dblthumb2:

Doesn't everyone have a climate controlled garage? :)

side question: why are the ziploc bags not supposed to be closed all the way?
