Paint chart

Do the auto makers have a paint chart showing how deep the paint is on each model and make or do all of them have the same thickness?

I dont know of a chart specifically, but sure most cars painted on a modern mass production platform are computer painted and thus to relatively equal standards.

DuPont and PPG plus others haave paint charts for colors but nothing on thickness.

The thickness on a car will be different at different points on the car IMO
Car maker's will try to get the paint as thin a possible, for sure

i believe the European cars are more healthy as far as clear coat thickness.....
