Hey guys,

I watched about 15 videos of paint chip repairs using both the Dr Color and Langka systems.

I have some questions for those of you offering this service.

1. How do you proceed? Since you need the paint color number for each new client, that means you have to order the stuff in everytime you get a contract. So how do you deal with that? Do you do a free consultation first, get the contract, order the stuff and then go back to the client to do the fix?

2. How much do you charge for the service and what is the total cost of products? From what I read it seems like the kits are about 50$ each and if you need to original manufacturer touch up paint that's an other 10-20$. Sounds pretty expensive to me. What are people willing to pay for this service?

3. Any suggestions regarding either method. From what I have seen, Dr Color does really well on areas blasted with tons of very small chips and the Langka system does better on larger paint chips. What is your experience with either or both?

Thanks in advance.

Oh! One last question. Would you apply a spray can clear coat on top of the repair? If so what product would you recommand?

I looked a little into paint chips. I was looking at some of the big kits. It seems like return on your investment would take a long time. I'm not sure that it is a big money maker.

I'm in the same boat, I was going to offer that service & had a few customers ask about it.. but the investment is not worth the return with the price of the kits.

The decent kits run anywhere from $5,000 - $20,000
& there in lies the problem.
