Hi guys and gals,
its been 6 months since i last waxed my wifes car. Currently has the old layer of 845 on it. I plan to clay before waxing. I also have wolfgang paintwork polish enhancer. I am tight on time so is ok to skip the cleanser and go directly to waxing after claying?

A good washing, clay and maybe 2 coats of 845 for the winter...

Absolutely perfect again for another 6 month's..

At 6 months old, the clay will probably strip any 845 that remains; if not, the solvents in the new layer of 845 will likely finish the job for you. So yeah, I'd skip the paint cleanser step as well, if you're pressed for time.

i ended up doing the paint Cleanser step. got me wondering though. After buffing off the cleanser prep, wouldnt it leave a layer behind so now the new wax is on top of the layer instead of the paint. unless that is what is intended for. like a primer?

The polish is a cleaner and bonding agent which prepares the surface and is meant to be topped with wax..

Now 2 or 3 coats of Collinite 845 and your more then ready for winter..Leave 12 to 24 hours between coats if you can and make sure the surface is clean and dry before applying the next coat..

Try some Pinnacle Souveran liquid spray wax to keep up the shine thruout the winter if the temps are above 50 or better..

Use something like Ultima waterless wash plus spray for winter and a quick detailer for some upkeep in between washes..

Make sure you store all your products in a warm place during winter...

*TIP*.. Heat the bottle of 845 in hot water for 10 mins and shake well before using..
