Paint coating over vinyl decals

I may be coating a company vehicle that has many decals all over the car for advertising. Will this cause problems down the road if the person decides to change/ replace the stickers? Would it be prepped with prep polish/eraser like usual?
Thanks for advice I don't want to put this persons business car in a compromising position just to make a buck
