My car has been through some bumps and bruises and has some cracked paint along the rear bumpers.

Is it safe to use DA polisher over these areas? Im afraid if there's too much pressure, then I will see paint chips flying.

Should I just totally avoid the cracks?

You can usually polish over cracked paint and if it's not already flaking off then ti shouldn't flake off just by polishing it.

You will tend to get polish into the cracks and then they'll show up white... might make them more noticable...

Is there a way to fix cracked paint?

My friends was backing up too hard and he incurred cracks in the clear coat, very fine lines.
Is there a way to fix it? Sanding?

Any ideas?

Thanks,
