I have a car that the previous owner did a poor job with touching up a few paint chips and has covered the car with paint globs. Any ideas how to remove the already dried paint globs. Many people say to use the Langka system but i thought that was for when you do the touch ups yourelf. Any suggestions would be great.

A little wet sanding over them will take care of the blobs.

Thats what i figured. Any idea what grit i should use 1500? 2000?

Be careful not to get sanding marks in the good factory paint surrounding the blobs. The reason why is because typically the touch-up paint will be soft thus easy to get your sanding marks out of. The factory paint will be harder and thus more difficult to get your sanding marks out of.

You can try placing painters tape around the paint blobs so the sandpaper doesn't touch the good factory paint.

That or find a way for your sandpaper to have a small foot print.

Another option are these blocks of solid Unigrit particles, basically you soak them in water overnight and then stand then on edge and either twist them or rub them back and forth like an eraser.

However you approach the task the goal is to remove the paint blobs without putting scratches into the good factory paint at the same time. This can be kind of tricky.

Removing sanding marks can also be a little tricky but can be done by hand, DA or with a Rotary Buffer.
