Hi all.
Looking for a few pointers here any help is appreciated

I'm trying to re spray my plastic interior and after sand papering and cleaning the plastics I put 1st coat on then 2nd and 3rd coat of paint and waiting 24 hours to use clear lacquer it's still going to peal away, could you please tell me what I'm doing wrong.
Thanks.

There are a hundred YouTube videos on the subject

What type of paint are you using?

I've been through loads and went with there ideas.

I'm using plastikote.

I use a primer specifically for plastic and I also sand the edges and back back side of the edge so the paint isn't just on the face. I did the trim panel on the center dash of my son's Jeep that was stained and scratched. We just did a matte black to match the factory finish. It has been in there for three years and the paint is holding well even though it has been rained on more than once.

I guess I should have mentioned the name of my product as well. Sorry about that. PlastiKote is what i used.

Thanks guys.
I never used primer and thought that might of been a issue I'm going to strip all that I've painted maybe use a vibrating sander? And use a heavier sand paper (dry and wet) them prime it then re paint it.

I've not contacted the manufacture mike.

The small black dot is example of it peeling.
It was black and I want it a dark ish white pale cream.
Thanks all

The PlastiKote primer that I used can be painted with normal paint so you use what you have. You may be able to find plastic primer OTC in another brand but I'm not sure since I still have over half of this can and haven't checked.

I'm going to redo the panels and use and primer, I bought the paint to do my wheels to but I'm reconsidering to do them now.
