Pan the Organizer product line...let's discuss@

I get a kick out of coating videos. In real world they all fail around year 2-3 unless never driven. Coatings, and detailing products in general, are some of the most overrated products on the market. No industry standard testing (unlike motor oil etc.), just vague claims.

One of our cars has had no protection for 5 years. Paint looks great. It's all a gimmick. The only thing these products do is help you clean them easier.

So true. I can get a year out of a sealant & wax. It can be five years if I apply enough "touch-up" wax. Can we call the wax 5yrs of durability?!

Yeah I'm definitely over it. Took me a few years to get it out of my system. I'm not anti coating or any product, but overall I feel coatings are extremely overrated. These guys spend more time trying to figure why their precious coating failed and doesn't bead anymore. Unless it's garaged a coating likely won't make it past year 3.

I also highly doubt they offer much of any UV protection. It's all a joke. Use what makes you happy bc it won't matter in the end.

I have never installed a ceramic coating and have no desire to do so. Seems like many things in the detailing world their performance is overrated and over promised. Then there is their upkeep which SHOULD be no maintenance required other than washing.
Many Si02 sealants are very good performers these days and one can easily get 4 months from a good one. The sealants are a lot cheaper than a coating even if the sealant has to be applied 3 or 4 times a year and has none of the issues one has with coatings.

I don't know if it was here or Autopia where someone said they had gotten a year out of some sealant and it was still beading like the day he applied it. I think some other members had gotten significantly less life so he was asked what his maintenance regimen was, and he explained he washed the car every week and used a certain spray sealant or wax after every wash. So we asked if maybe it was the spray product that was responsible for his continued beading...to which he replied, no it was the original sealant that had lasted that long. We gave up.

Hey, rest easy because this drama in THOR got a number of people that actually said something to the tune of:

You're all crazy. An 8yr coating lasts 8+yrs. Just top it up each wash with Tec582 (the rage product of the moment on discount) and it'll bead the same it did day 1.

In the video I posted above, Ryan said that Pan did not reach out to him but said on a FB post he installed it wrong. Quite a few are finding issues with some of his coatings. Uh oh...

They'll admin up and control the narrative. Pretty soon after they'll release a bunch of kumbaya content about the industry just needs to be nice and transparent to each other.

Soon in 2026 from some YT chick and a guy I've never heard of.

Turns out...per a post I just saw on social media... he's now releasing V2 of his line.

So there we have it. Queue the cult flocking to V2 and the impending circle-jerk.

Oh damn, thought this was satire. But just saw the video and forgot they picked this guy up now to bring in Honest Car Care.

That guy joining has been running his own group on Facebook (and other areas I'm sure) and trying to become a bigger influencer, guess he got sucked in. Talked to him a few times and he had good intentions back then.

The chick is Chelsea. As far as i know just a You Tube detailer. But i guess is tight with the Thor crowd.
Anyway she is out concerning the honest car care thing. I just happened to see a video where she said her family comes first ( has school age children) so she was dropping out. At the time i had no idea what she was talking about.
Think the last thing the detailing world needs is another brand. However wont affect my purchases one bit.
A brand built on honesty. Ill believe it when i see it.

Why would Clean products need a V2?According to Pan his V1 products are the finest on the market.
People sure are gullible.
Well to be fair, Feynlab has a v3 of their RW and it's OUTSTANDING but then again, SPAM will never ever be Feynlab

Agreed, however i never saw that Feynlab made any claims that their product was the finest on the planet.

The new version gimmick is just another way to speed up sales especially to fan boys. Pan was in a hurry. It is amazing how many gush online (idolize) about certain detailers at that is who they target.

I did watch one of the Honest videos as they contact suppliers. He made a comment that they want to launch at SEMA. Pretty boring.

What is see is an inconsistent use of the term white label. Some think using a blender to produce custom formulas is white label.
