While at my office, I can park under a oak tree that provide some decent shade throughout the day to reduce sun exposure or full sun.

I have a white truck and am getting another white truck soon.

Which is better?

I would stick one of those thick sunscreens in the window and park it out in the open. Also tinted windows will help reduce the UV exposure as well as keep the interior cool. Keep the sunroof vented and your good to go.

Dont forget birds like to hang out in trees....

I'm one more for the open parking... I don't know if it's the best practice, but EVERY time I park under a tree I face serious damage from trees (from birds, staining fruits, to sticky leaves that won't even wash away (needs claying and polishing sometimes).

That said, I do my best to NEVER park under a tree... but you got the odds of burning your 'butt' while sitting back in the car lol!

I'm sure parking in the shade is better, but the shade may not be a 'dirty trap' like under a tree.

How many times in the past I went over my car and when coming close (facing the damage) I thought: 'OHHH MYYYYYY!'.

This is the kind of dilemma.

Kind Regards.

I'd choose the sun exposure. Trees are bad news for the finish, much more than the sun. I use a windshield sunscreen, which helps keep the interior cooler and protects the dash from UV.

Ugh I had to deal with tree sap all over the front of my vehicle 2 days ago. I was kicking myself for not thinking straight while searching for a parking spot!!! CarPro Eraser did the trick with no ill effects on my LSP.
