I just finished detailing my Subaru and stupidly parked it close to a pine tree. There is sap over the entire car.
How do I get it off? I suppose I have to re wax after.
 
91 percent alcohol, or hand sanitizer if you don’t have that, and yes re wax
 
I have to do the entire car, would I wash it first? Would I use microfiber towels then throw them away, would I wash car again after?
 
Wash it first to remove some of the pine tar, then go over the remaining spots with a tar remover, rewash to remove the tar remover (I use Tar-X). Large spots of pine tar may take several applications of product. I deal with pine tar frequently in S. GA.
 
I noticed that Mike Phillips said that xenit by Stoner works well, but looking at their website they do not recommend it as it would harm
the clear coat. Any familiarity with this product?
 
Just use alcohol, inexpensive, won’t hurt anything. Yes I would wash it first.
 
Since they are fresh, the already recommended hand sanitizer option should work fine. The gel-type consistency helps it 'glob' on to the surface better than IPA, but it does contain alcohol to help remove the pine tar/pitch. Remove carefully with a tight weave microfiber, and reapply you LSP.
