I have owned my PC 7335 for 20 years now. Most of my old pads are Meguiars and it time to refresh them. I have Meguiar's products, Griots Correction creme and HD Cut and Speed in my arsenal. This one of my hobbies so it is not a business, but do an occasional customer who are absolutely thrilled with the results. It does take me much longer that most individuals because my equipment is verging on antique. I have read about LC HDO, LC Force Pads, LC Thin Pro and Microfiber Cutting pads, waffle weave, pads with holes or dimples in the foam and I am not sure what to get or to buy some of each. I currently use 4 & 6" pads.
I have noticed that the backing material on the Meguiars pads wear out to the point I have to apply adhesive.
I do own a Hitach. rotary which I use quite often because the PC just takes too long. I also don't own air supply.
In 2015 Mike recommended: Porter Cable 7424XP
Correction = Orange LC Flat Pad
Polishing = White or Black LC Flat Pad
Sealing = Blue LC Flat Pad
Correction step = 6 pads
1 for the hood
1 for the roof and trunk lid
2 for driver's side
2 for passenger side
Polishing step = 4 pads (You could probably get away with 3 if you use 1 for hood, roof and trunk lid)
1 for the hood
1 for the roof and trunk lid
1 for driver's side
1 for passenger side
