PC 7424XP Spacer

Hello,

I just got my PC 7424xp and it came with some type of gray spacer. I am using a 5" Lake Country backing plate that already seems to come with a black spacer. Do I need to use the one that came with the Porter Cable?

I'm going to guess the gray spacer you're talking about is for the handle, not the backing plate.

If you want to use the handle, (most people prefer to use it without the handle), then use the gray spacer as it will compress and help prevent the handle from loosening...
