Can someone please compare the two orbitals .. we know the 3403 is compact, but what else .. about performance, power, etc.

Thanks

:props:

i got the pe 14 because it can handle an 8" pad compared to the 3403, so its definitely more powerful.

the 3403 overheat at lower speeds. the pe doesnt.

I just did a 32 foot boat and two cars with a 3403 -30% of the time with a 8 inch wool pad....no problems whatsoever.

In real life I guess my answer would be an analogy of sorts.

Like the differce between a stock mustang and a GT 500.

Or the differnce between our sun and a far away star as perceived by someone on this planet.

Or the difference between my old standby 849 and my new PC. Happy detailing and Happy trails...

The thing I found lacking about the 3403 was the inability to run below 1100 rpms. I jewel at 600 - 900 and in tight areas I like to start the polisher as slow as possible then ramp up the speed once I know I've established perfect control. The PE-14 featured the speeds that I use most.

The 3403 is slightly louder.

The PE-14 is a bit heavier, not really noticeable during use.

It's a personal preference. I found the PE-14 to fit my hands better and have a higher quality feel to it. Is it worth the premium price? I thought so. YMMV.

and you did that entire boat on speed one? I said it overheats on low speeds. which it does.
