I received a message via my website Thursday night from a person who is doing a restoration on a car. This is what he sent me:

So I texted him and asked for a picture and this is what he sent:

I know, hard to spot. So after he sent the picture he said that the paint is 3 years old and has never been exposed to the sun as its sat most of its life inside under a car cover. I'm a littler nervous just because the rest of the paint looks scratch-free. I currently have Ultimate Compound and Ultimate Polish, M105, M205, HD Speed, and Poorboy's Polish with Sealant. My polisher is a Harbor Freight.

Any recommendations on if I should buy a different polish that's "finer" or buy MF polishing pads? I'm planning on placing an order Sunday for some other stuff anyways so if need be, I can throw something in the cart for this project.

Thanks,
Will

Go with the m205. That should take care of the scratch if the author of the note is telling the truth about how the scratch occurred. He said he could not get the scratch out with hand polishing so that tells me the scratch may be deeper than you may be expecting. Good luck and remember, least aggressive first.

M205 and a white, green, or black pad?
