There's be a long debate over conditioning and cleaning treated leather, but my question is: Does leather conditioner penetrate and benefit perforated leather seats?
I imagine that products like Leatherique that dwell for long periods of time could benefit the leather.

My concern usually has more to do with what is underneath the leather. If I slather a conditioner on a perforated seat, will it penetrate and possibly harm the foam underneath? I usually just apply some conditioner to a microfiber applicator and spread it around, then wipe it gently on the perforations, trying to keep it on the surface.

Even if conditioning doesn't do anything in the long run for coated modern leather, it still smells nice and makes the seat feel "right." This is what I find most customers want.

Many items/products, including leather "conditioners", may, indeed: Go into/through the holes of perforated leather.

However...IMO:
•While some of these items/products may provide some benefit to perforated leather...there are many others, including leather "conditioners", that will not be of benefit or serve to provide any added value to perforated leather.

Best to just (again...IMO):
"Clean & Protect"...leather appointments.

There was a thread about this topic awhile ago & a foam rather than liquid product was recommended so as not to clog the holes. As to the benefit, the debate continues & depends on how one defines the term.

I have taken Bob's advice and have used the Leather Masters duo on my avalanche. My seats are NOT coated. LM duo does a really nice job on them. Leatherique, I feel, does a better job of deep cleaning them. However, how many of us are able to let our only ride sit for at least 24 hr? This is were the LM advantage is.
