Here’s a couple of before pictures of the engine and as you can see it appeared that it had never been detailed before.

Interior:

The entire interior was in great shape and I went ahead and took out the mats - cleaned them off with water and a degreaser. Then went to work on the carpets by first vacuuming out the dirt with my Metro Vac, and then extracted the carpets out with the Lil Green. After the carpets were cleaned I then dressed various areas that required 303 Aerospace.

Since I was doing this at night, I decided to warm up the leather up, CAREFULLY, with a heat gun and that way the Leatherique would absorb much better through the pores. Great idea, thanks DSM!

The Paint Correction:

Since the car was fairly brand new, there really wasn’t any need for any medium type polishes, so Power Finish would be the best choice for this job. Followed it up with 85rd and jeweled the paint at 1500 rpms. For the life of me, I couldn’t capture that many swirls on my camera, the flake was pretty overwhelming needless to say hehe. But everything turned out excellent in the end.

Rear End finished:

Fully Corrected:

Since I really had no before shots, here are some fully corrected shots with no LSP and under my halogen light. Look at that flake!

Very nice, justice has been served for that paint colour. That is my favorite colour, I just love how heavy the flake is.

I see the car has some minor orange peel, particularly noticeable in the last couple of shots.

GREAT JOB!
How many hours of work did it take to get back in shape?

Thanks man! I tell you I've seen so many beautiful cars eaten alive by the orange peel problem.

They really need to step things up at the BMW plants. Luckily my E36 isn't that bad.

Nice work Josh. :props:

Thanks Stephen!

Great Job

Thank you!

Ment to ask this. What year is the 335i for the engine to look this bad?

Build date of 1/08 to be exact. Arizona can do that to you really quick actually. Especially during the summer when we have our monsoon season and dust storms not to mention the ridiculous amount heat. :(

GREAT JOB!
How many hours of work did it take to get back in shape?

Thank you! Two days of work to be exact.

The man is back! Great job as always.

Thank you!
