Per the request I got in my DP thread I am posting some pics from 2006 when I hand built my garage myself. I paid for the concrete work and bought a 28x32 kit from a local lumber yard and built it with only about 12-15 hours of help from anyone. It took me a long time to finish since I worked 2 jobs and had my Daughter 3-4 days a week too. I was only permitted to build it 28x30 unless I wanted to wait till May to go to the town board to get a variance so I decided 30 was fine I wont miss the 2 ft.
Foundation almost done 3-2006
Delivery
4-8-2006 I get my butt out there after work that day and start on the first wall
Neighbor comes over day two and helps with the two pieces of the back wall
Making some progress
Cousin came down and spent about 10 hours with me lifting the trusses in, friend stopped over for the last two LOL
First time it started really looking like a garage
Hard at work getting the roofing on!!
No she wasnt up there helping me with the roofing but she just had to go up there and see it lol
Formula "claiming" its spot in the garage.
Next came the doors and it was finally useable!!!
Siding was next
Daughter and I painting the Scarlet wall
This is the color of the rest of the walls and soon the ceiling. Silver of course for a proper Buckeyes fan Scarlet & Silver
7-30-2006 Completed to a point I could call it a garage, we all know its never DONE
