Well I have put the pictures from the link in a thread with some explanations, incase you missed the show. Let me start by saying what a great time we all had. I really enjoyed meeting some of the forum members and some of our ones that have been to previous DF's over the years. This year was a great time to be had by all, we had the vendors, the band, good food and great people!
The weather was not the best but it made it nice and cool out... What no one saw was the week before the show how much water we took on and what all we had to do to get rid of it. So I will give you a little peak at the preparations for DF. Let's just say most of us employees had fun playing in the mud, literally!
Thank you everyone for coming out, they are all in our bay right now holding the Meguiars Class. I would like to thank David and Mike Phillips from Meguiars for helping out so much this year. They really brought a lot of education to the weekend. And especially thank you to our staff who have put in countless hours this week and who are all still here with us today working. Ed, Scott, Ernie, Dennis, Grit Guard crew, Sandy Hook Deli and a few others I am sure I am missing all lended a hand whenever asked! So thank you too!
But of course there is the one and only that let's us hold this show, Bob "Max" McKee! Max as usual never said no to us this week, and was there for anything we needed.... especially when it flooded our tent site! Anyone around him or his employees this weekend will tell you that we all love working for him and he is one heck of a boss to have. So thank you Max, we promise to all be on time Monday morning, or at least close!
Here is a link if you prefer a slide show.
Autogeek 4th Annual Detail Fest
Here is one of our employees, getting the lake to dry out for Detail Fest on Thursday!
Tent crew came in the rain to set up the four tents we had.
This was the food vendors and the registration.
Todd still chasing the water off....
Well they have a couple tents up but as you can see there is a lake in the main grass area that we needed to put the big tent at.
Water or no water, Chris was helping Max layout the area for the big tent.
Yeah Todd still playing in the water!
As the day goes on the water is SLOWLY drying out.
Getting ready to assemble the tent for the band.
Max, Chris and the tent person are marking the ground for the big tent.
Max is showing him right where it needs to be.
They are assembling the roof of the tent ready to put it up.
Was interesting to watch them raise it up.
