And 1"

I like this. Aaryn, wake up. Its here!

So they took into account the balance for the various pad sizes in the detachable backing plates. Can we even call them that, now?

This is so cool.

Yes. I want. Yes, I'll tell my wife I know what I want for Christmas.

Orrrrrr......I'll solicit some more detail jobs to get this thing

Christmas!!! You’re going to wait til Christmas!!! :ban:

. . . I say that but it concerns me that this sweet piece of kit will never make it to New Zealand.

This is pretty exciting, I dig it. Flex has kicked butt with the innovation here, in my opinion this has “real world” use ability. Being able to switch out the backing plates/configuration like that is worth its weight in gold. :props:

I look forward to a review Mike but if at all possible - my money is already spent.

nope, this is a 10.8v and the other uses an 18v. It sucks, but due to how small this is compared to the CBEAST I understand this wouldn't have worked with such a big battery without the balance being shot to hell.

Re: Pictures: New FLEX PXE by Mike Phillips

Looks like an awesome mini polisher!

Hope it's really great in the real world use too. That the counter weight and the whole comes with when you change the backing plate is just genius. What is the orbit off set and is it the same on all 3 of the backing plates? Or is it attached to the already off set orbit so it's the same? Maybe the later one. Otherwise we could have seen rotary mode and 5mm and 8mm and 12mm backing plates to the polisher to use. But it's awesome with 1 orbit option too. Very cool polisher!

I was wondering where you came up with that name.

And of course, after studying the photos like you know I do, I came up with the answer:

Hey Tony. :xyxthumbs:

I believe the “PIXIE” has Rotary mode, 3mm random orbital mode & 12mm random orbital mode. :buffing: ... on all three backing plate sizes too I understand.

I understand the regular orbit of a PC, griots, standard polisher is 8mm. Is that correct? Thats cool if it does all three. Is the original flex an 8mm orbit?

DANG!!!

I am in BIGGGG trouble!
My wife is not going to be happy.

THIS was the missing piece of the puzzle of why I have been holding off on getting on board with team FLEX. I said to myself that the day that they come out with a cordless “Kompakt” that I’m in.

Well, well, well...here we are. Not only it is cordless, it does three different size pads. WHAT!?

I just dropped so much money on different tools. Ugh! Now I have to save up my some pretty pennies.

I have been thinking more & more about this because I don’t quite have room for a generator quite yet. And every single guy lately who has a nice car wanting a coating lives in a nice luxury suite in downtown; parks their car in private underground parking garages with no access to much.

With all of Flex Cordless tools, I am now seeing where the true value is.

Good job FLEX!

Nice!! Its amazing how nice cordless tools are these days. You would think it wouldn't be a big deal to plug in a cord or run an extension cord but it makes a huge difference.

Don't feel bad I've dropped big money on tools too. They pay for themselves when you're using them for work.

Re: Pictures: New FLEX PXE by Mike Phillips

That's a really pretty looking machine!
As Bozo the Clown would say, "A real ding dong dandy!"

Waiting to hear more about its features and of course in use comments about its operation.
