Dark colored car, daily driver, and in a hot climate. What are the pros and cons of each?

The wax is a right of passage into this hobby once you have tried it you will understand

What does that mean? That its a waste of time that everyone has to learn by using it once?

Thank-you so much for your response. Where does the souveran liquid wax fit in? So many variations.

The Pinnacle Liquid Souveran Car Wax would be applied after polishing the paint surface. It can be applied by hand or by DA Polisher. It offers excellent depth, gloss and durability. It can be applied to the paint surface after polishing or some people like to apply a Paint Sealant first and wait 12 hours and then top it with the Liquid Souveran Car Wax or Paste Wax.

Polish + Paint Sealant
Polish + Wax
Polish + Paint Sealant (wait 12 hours) + Wax

Out of all of the Pinnacle LSPs, I prefer
Pinnacle Signature Series II
Carnauba Paste Wax
.

It contains both Carnauba Wax; and Pinnacle’s
version of polymers (“liquid crystal”)—resulting
in a product I liken to a Hybrid Wax/Sealant.

Good Stuff!!

For a daily driver, you’ll want PBL Sealant or Pinnacle Souveran Liquid for your base protection. The Sealant gives you 6 months, the Liquid Souveran 2-4 months.

Souveran paste, the beauty wax would look awesome on either of these whenever you want to add extra beauty, but if it degrades really fast because of heat, rain, etc, the base Sealant or Liquid will be there protecting until you get around to applying another beauty coat.

How many cars can the pinnacle black label sealant do? For the left over stuff how long can it be stored before it goes bad?

You could do 10-12 cars at least. My bottle is a few years old now. The last time I used it did not seem to last very long where as it was lasting me about 8 months before. I have not tried it again to see if it was the PBL sealant or some other factor.

Pinnacle Souveran Paste wax is awesome! Black Label Paint Sealant is great too! You can't go wrong with either! It's up to what you want to accomplish. Pinnacle Souveran Wax IMO is the way I would go.

PBL Sealant 8 ounce can probably do 15 sedans (0.5oz per application, if even). I’ve had mine for two years and it’s fine. Not sure if shelf life. Keep in a mild/cool dark place and it might just last many years.

What is your recomendation for new and/or news cars with dark paint in good condition. One car is black with some minor swirls. Is it worth doing a two step polish then sealant or an all in one? What criteria would you use in choosing an all in one over multi steps?

does pinnacle have a one step product? or something than would combine a liquid and spray rather than polish and then black label sealant?

Pinnacle Souveran Jeweling Wax. It’s basically a finishing polish that leaves behind Liquid Souveran. If you want to maintain that or top it, any of the Pinnacle waxes (paste, liquid, spray wax) can be used on top whenever you want to refresh performance or just add shine.

"Worth it"? I think so but it's a labor of love. I can't speak for mike but I think anybody who loves detailing will tell you it's always worth it and the best thing to do is to try to get it perfect then protect it. Especially a personal car.

The steps to take always depend on the paint condition.

You have to decide what's worth it to you.
