Pinnacle Black Label Synergy Wax Question

Just got my Pinnacle Black Label Synergy Kit and noticed the lid of the wax was not on tight. The wax seems dried out compared to the Pinnacle Soverin I usually use. The wax is like a hockey puck. Is this how it should look right after opening it?

Synergy is a VERY hard wax. Not soft like Souveran.
