Below are some pics of my freshly detailed 2007 Honda Accord, Nighthawk Black Pearl paint. I finally took the plunge and purchased a tub of Souveran Paste Wax. I can't tell you how pleased I am with the results.
Here were my steps:
Washed Car with Optimum ONR
Cleaned and Sealed Paint with Poorboys Polish with Sealant with PC
Topped off with Pinnacle Paste Wax applied by hand
I had tried both S100 and Natty's Blue paste Wax with good results, but I felt I could still get better. Anyone that knows the Honda Nighthawk Black Pearl Paint will tell you that although it is black, it is not completely jet black, and has a lot metallic flake in the paint. You usually only notice the metallic flake only when fairly close to the paint, but when you do see it, it is nice. Both Natty's Blue and S100 really darkened up my paint and muted out the flaking after I applied and buffed it off.
What really impressed me about the Souveran is that it not only made my car shine better than the other two with more depth, but it also retained my paint color with the metallic flaking.
