For this review, I'm going to share my observations using Pinnacle XMT 360 Spray Wax for the first time:

From AG's product page for Pinnacle XMT 360 Spray Wax:
“Simply stunning. That's how you'll describe Pinnacle XMT 360 Spray Wax. There's no easier way to give your paint finish durable protection and a head-turning gloss. Pinnacle XMT 360 Spray Wax packs all the benefits of a traditional carnauba wax - plus incredible durability - into a sizzling spray. The liquid wax formula goes on without streaking and bonds in a cross-linked coat of protection that feels as good as it looks!”
My first impression of XMT 360 Spray Wax is this stuff is super bubblegum pink in color. After a quick sniff, it smells like you’d expect - Eau de carnauba.

Instructions printed on the bottle are straightforward:

Prior to using XMT 360 Spray wax, I washed and dried my vehicle using Pinnacle XMT Gel Shampoo & Conditioner:

(Link to Pinnacle XMT Gel Shampoo & Conditioner review)

Following the instructions, I:

  • Choose a “small” 2x2ft area of paint
  • Gave the bottle a good shake
  • Pumped a few mists of wax
  • Quickly spread it around with a Gold Plush microfiber towel
  • Buffed with a separate Chinchilla microfiber towel
What’s left behind isn’t a stunning surface but a streaky smeared up mess! Ok, this is not what I’m expecting to see, what’s the deal? :inspector:

Even though I was out of direct sun, spraying the wax on a cool clean and dry surface, the humidity was quite high at 90%:

By moving to a smaller “small” 1X1ft area I had enough time to apply the product, spread it evenly, and then buff it to a high shine.

(That's my kind of cloudy paint :))

From start to finish the whole process took about 15 minutes and ~ 2oz of wax was applied:

No wax review would be complete w/o at least one beading shot:

Critical observations: I'm not a fan of this style of spray bottle. I found it hard to hold, the top of the bottle quickly started to dimple, and by the end my hand slightly
ached for pumping the atomizer. I'd much prefer a trigger style bottles as I find them far easier to use.

Conclusion: Overall I like XMT 360 Spray Wax. Once I took atmospheric conditions into account and dialed in the perfect “small” area
XMT 360 Spray Wax was easy to use and left a very nice slick and glossy surface.

At $16.99 for a 12oz bottle 360 Spray Wax is competitively priced against most spray waxes available online. I look forward to using this spray wax as a maintenance step between major details.

Hope you like this review and found the information helpful!

It attracts dust like crazy. Put some on just before a car show last weekend. I wanted to crawl in a hole I was so embarrassed after it was parked a few minutes. Absolutely a deal breaker for me. It looks good....that I'll give it.

Nice review. I have tried this spray on wax but didn't like it. There are cheaper alternatives out there that do a much better job IMO. Turtle Wax Ice spray wax for one.

Thanks for the review!

I wonder what durability is like?

You bet! Durability will be intresting. Now that it's mid-June I'm hoping pollen season has come to an end.

Dang, that sucks man. Sorry! Was it pollen dust? Or maybe something from your mf towel?

Thank you! For less expensive options, I've hear lots of praise for Duragloss Aquawax #951. I'm looking forward to trying it out.

Trust me...it wasn't from my MF towel....

I believe you, but figured I'd ask to rule it out. I'll have to keep an eye out for more than normal dust accumulation.

I have been using this wax regularly for quite some time and overall like it. I might switch to something else at some point just to try something new. I have also used Megs UQW and that was decent. I have never had a problem with XMT streaking and its durability is pretty good.

You used 2oz. on a sedan?!? That may or may not have had something to do with the streaking. I typically only use about 1 1/2 oz on the 2 suburbans that I maintain on a regular basis. Durability is on par with Aquawax as an LSP (about 3 weeks and it starts to fade) but I typically use as a topper over KSG or 845. I have found the 360 seems to attract dust during the first couple hours after application. This seems to be a sort of "cure" time as the wax will get slicker and have more gloss after about 4-6 hours. I solved the dusting issue by parking it in the garage for a couple hours or going back over the car with a QD if it's parked outside. After a couple hours I haven't noticed any abnormal dust accumulation.

2oz was a rough guess, but yeah I probably did over use it while getting adjusted to the super fine mist produced by the atomizer style sprayer. Now that there is a layer of 360 Spray Wax down and I've got more experience the product next time around I'm sure I'll get away with using far less.

The super fine mist bottle really lets you stretch the product. I bought the gallon of 360 and tried using it in a "standard" spray bottle, big mistake. Lots of steaks and extra elbow grease buffing it off. I refilled the original bottle and picked up a couple 2-3oz travel bottles to keep in the glove box. They are much easier to handle than the original 16oz bottle

Using travel size spray bottles is a great idea.

Considering I haven't washed the Civic since late June, and have not added any additional LSP's I'd say this amount of beading through a layer of every day grime is quite good. :props:

I have not used many spray waxes but the darkening (makes black blacker) and gloss from Pinnacle is excellent.
