I have had this in my detailing arsenal for a few months now and have had enough experience with it to write a well rounded review for it.
Pinnacle XMT spray wax is a nice way to add some additional protection to any existing wax or sealant layer you aready have on the car, but it can be used as a stand alone LSP since it has great durability on its own.
Appearance and smell:
It is a light green in color, and is slightly opaque, with a consistency typical of most spray waxes or quick detailers. It has a minty smell to it which is refreshing and not overpowering like some products, just a nice clean scent.
Application:
You use one spray per body panel, spread with a microfiber towel and buff it off. It acts like an easy to use QD, which is welcome when you are in a rush to add some protection or just don't want to put in any extra effort after a wash. The sprayer produces a very fine mist, so fine that I almost had trouble using it outside today with the breeze that was blowing it around. You need very little to cover a body panel, and by the looks of it will last me a very long time.
Results:
It produces a very radiant shine, in between the looks of a sharp reflective sealant and the depth of a decent carnauba wax. I used it just after a DP Rinseless wash and it added a noticeable slickness back to the paint while removing any streaking left behind from washing. I have been testing the durability on my car and my parents and have found it to last on average around 5 weeks. In fact, I used it on the windows of my parents cars and it was beading just like Rain-x (very well) and lasted through a week and a half of torrential rain. It beads like crazy, and did not perform any differently when I used it in the dead of winter back north or in 70 degree CA weather.
Bottom Line:
While it will never replace my waxes or sealants as a means for protection, it will prove invaluable in situations where you are looking to add some protection whilst achieving a great finish to boot. Additionally, it is very forgiving when overapplied and flat out performs.
My personal results: I hadn't cleaned the car for a week, which is the longest I have left the car untouched in a long time.
Process:
-DP rinseless wash and gloss (two bucket method)
-Dried
-XMT360 applied
