My client had just picked an used 2012 BMW 335i JetBlack. We talked about a week prior before him purchasing the car and he knew that the paint needed work and also knew not to let the dealership even touch, "leave as is".

Knowing JetBlack paint well, it's a love and hate situation but I had an idea on how to attack it. We settled for our stage 2 ( 2 Steps)

PROCESS

Foam CG Citrus/ 2 Buckets system
Decon (Irox and Nanoskin)
Sonax Wheels Cleaner
Flex3401 (LC Orange, White, Blue)
Wolfgang Über 3.0
HD Polish
Eraser
CG JetSeal
Pinnacle Souveran
Meguiar's Tire Coating
303 AeroSpace

Paint Condition[b/] (Note, the paint was in really bad shape)

On to the attack....

After 1 step only.

50/50

After long and long hours of correction and sealant curing process, the car was done.

Beauty Shots

Tires dressed with Meguiar's Tire Coating

So freaking wet!!!

Owner was super happy. This is the 2nd vehicle that he purchases used and we are able to save the paint.

Thanks for looking

Brilliant work. How did you find that Jet Black paint on the hardness/softness scale? I avoided ordering that color specifically because it was reputed to be ridiculously soft at the time (2007). I'm looking at getting another one and still want that color but am curious if they have "hardened" up Jet Black more in line with the other colors.

Then again, i see you opted for WG Uber and maybe with an orange pad? That tells me it is more in line with the other BMW paints with regard to hard/soft being like my Black Sapphire Metallic i.e. Medium - medium hard.

Again, beautiful work.

Thank you. About medium/soft but much improved. It's still takes some time to finish it off just right but not as bad as the prior years that's for sure. Yes, I used Uber plus Orange Pad then I finished it off with HD polish plus white pads. Thanks for looking.

Awesome and thanks, Francisco. That's good to know and you absolutely finished it off just right :dblthumb2:

You have to just stare for a moment speechless that black BMW looks gorgeous in that Florida sun great job
