Pinstriping and uneven surfaces

Hello. My first post. 1) I just got a PC 7424XP among many other things. First, when using the PC with mild to intensive cutting polishes, how so you handle pinstriping and hand-painted stripes that are on top of the clear coat? I'd hate to have to switch between the PC and just hand application. Besides, these stripes run the entire length of the car and polishing a 2' x 2' area with the PC and then switching to hand application doesn't seem practical. Some of the pinstriping is vinyl and some is custom hand-painted. Will they be safe with PC applied polishing?

2) How do you handle uneven as well as rounded surfaces with use of the PC 7424XP?

Tape up pin-stripes to protect them. Some curved surfaces are difficult to polish by machine. Those curves would most likely need hand polishing.
